Star Chaat always delivers delicious dishes. My family and I usually DoorDash but recently we've been going in to the restaurant and I'm happy to say the dining in experience is also great! Their saag is so comforting and smooth, the korma is creamy and veggie-ful, nothing is overly spicy and the price is right for the portion size!

We first visited in 2021 when it was newly opened, to celebrate our first anniversary. Tried palak paneer, malai kofta, paneer kulcha, gobi paratha and garlic naan. Taste was very authentic and delicious. I would recommend everyone to check this one out. Variety of offerings is great. It's very hard in any country other than India to find a North Indian Vegetarian restaurant with this level of authenticity. We visited again with friends and they too loved the experience. This time tried appetisers as well. Best one - Dahi Aloo Sev Puri. Usal Paav can be skipped because if you've tried in Pune or Mumbai, this wouldn't impress. Bhature were beautifully risen, crisp and delicious. Paneer and Aloo Kulcha were fantastic. Saag Paneer is THE best here. Next time I'm going to ask the cooks which mixer grinder do they use for such fine paste. Kesar Pista Kulfi is the good way to end the meal. Find my detailed reels on Instagram @veggie_central

My husband and two children came here via a recommendation from a friend that lives in Dublin. We live in Alamo and there are NO Indian restaurants in Alamo. Let me preface this review by saying I do not like fussy Indian food, but I also avoid the order at the counter and find your table type of Indian places. I really liked Star Chaat and we will definitely be back! We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The servers were friendly and kind. The food was excellent. I love thali and it isn't something I make at home because it is too time consuming. This is a great way for my husband and I to have thali and the kids to have some dal and rice. At one point as we were leaving my little daughter forgot her unicorn purse and the server noticed so he tracked us down in the parking lot. Wow! So incredibly thoughtful. My children were also treated to lollipops at the end of our meal. Overall- Good old fashioned Indian food with great service. We will certainly be back!

So good! We aren't vegetarians or vegans but came here not knowing it was a meatless restaurant. I was pretty apprehensive because I was really hungry and wasn't in the mood to be disappointed. We were pleasantly surprised. We've already been here several times since and I always get the Ambarsari Naan with Chole, it's soooo good!! It's basically a chickpea dish that you can adjust you preferred level of spiciness to and you enjoy it so much you don't even miss the meat. I highly recommend They also have great service. He messed up my order a little and gave me a discount for his mistake.

We had a wonderful eye opening experience at Star Chaat. We've never been to a chaat restaurant before and didn't know what to expect. It took us an hour and 20 minutes to drive from San Francisco there and it was totally worth it. It's a humble little place packed with chaat enthusiasts. Waiters are very responsive and can memorize multiple orders. The food came out very quickly despite the restaurant was full. Friends told us the food we had there was like street food in northern India. It's so fun to add your own stuffing to the puri. Many dishes we couldn't name names but everything was delicious.

We called to make a reservation the day of for FIFTEEN people, and they were able to accommodate us the day of which was so kind. Despite the number of people, food came out quickly and no orders were messed up. They did forget one order of samosas but that came out quickly after we asked about it. Patient and attentive server- I am always happy when the server refills my water glass before it's ever even empty. It was interesting that walking in, it felt like a fancy place (think white tablecloth, places set with cloth napkins folded around silverware, etc) but the prices weren't bad at all. After tip, including appetizers and some beverages, we averaged out to $25/person. Will be back!

AMAZING food! I'm a Chaat food noob but I love it! I stumbled across Star Chaat Cuisine while a co-worker and I were looking for something different. I'm glad we picked this place as its a hidden gem. First off, if you love vegetarian cuisine with robust flavor this s your jam! I chose the Aloo Mattar and it didn't disappoint! The potatoes and peas in warm onion sauce was a nice blend of textures, spices and stew-like broth. My friend ordered the Chili Paneer and that was amazing as well! It had peppers, chili cubed cheese and a nice level of heat to it. Speaking of, the waiter asked what level of heat you prefer and that's a nice touch as some like it hotter than others. We topped it off with fresh Naan (which was equally amazing, nothing like fresh naan!) and a side of jasmine rice. All you can ask for! But there's more! The service here was excellent too. Super attentive and very fast! I was actually surprised how quick it was. Lastly the restaurant is clean. The seating and table surfaces are all clean and presentable. There were a couple boxes here and there which led me to believe it was a new place or they just got a large delivery. I went on a wet day and I found the floor to be a little slick so if you go on a soggy day watch out for that. With all that said ad done I can't wait to go back for some Vindaloo or Paneer!
